Green Schools

Lá Glas- 16ú Márta  2018

We held a Day of Action on the 16th March 2018 where all students and teachers were invited to wear ‘Green’ to support environmental awareness.

The Green School Committee gave a presentation at Assembly about the value of 1kwh of electricity.

It raised some eyebrows when it was discovered that 1kwh = 7 mins only in the electric shower!

We held a No power Hour in the afternoon and this went off terrifically!

Well done to Whole School Community on their work towards saving electricity this year.

National Spring Clean 2017

Members of the Green Schools Committee take to the streets of Cavan to collect litter and do their bit to tidy up the school grounds as part of the National Spring Clean in April 2017.

St. Felim’s gained their first Green Flag (Litter & Waste) in 2013/14. The Green Flag committee work hard to ensure that the school yard is kept litter free and that compost bins are emptied regularly. We are now working towards our second Green Flag (Energy), so we need all pupils to remind their teachers to turn off the lights!!!

November 2014

Our 3rd classes prepared our garden and they used bulbs and plants. Aoife came to help us.
